I would like to add a footnote to history. Not that this information hasn't been available to most of the public.  I would like to add the information that I have gathered on the subject. If you are over the age of twenty five, this information was not made available to you in America's public schools.

African American men fought and died in every conflict that America has been involved in since the Revolutionary war. This is a true statement, it simply has not been common knowledge in the past. In honor of the country's 235th birthday, I dedicate this page to all of our fighting men in the hope that it adds a footnote to our history.

The military was not integrated until the 1950s, so while Black men fought and died they were not recognized as the military as an institution was racist and segregated. That is no longer the case. This is not a history of a race of people, it is a history of a few unsung Americans. Please enjoy...
